Haunted Indiana (ghost story)

A clip from a classic low-budget compilation of horror stories that ran on public access in Bloomington, Indiana, starting in the early '80s. More info here: www.panopticist.com/archives/253.html
[above text from the YouTube site]
I came across this clip on the Panopticist blog, posted by Andrew Hearst, who said he grew up in Bloomington:

OH MAN! I remember watching these in the Bloomington Public Library on the big screen that was in the little sunken area right outside the AV department. I couldn't have been more than 6 or 7 years old ('87-'88)...they scared the shit out of me.

I'm so glad you posted this!

As Andy noted. Sorry Chels.

If it's John Montgomery, he's a year older than you, JPS. My classmate at North.

Remember that BCAT was one of maybe six channels that we had growing up. I saw every clip they played on BCAT many, many times up into the early 80s. Haunted Indiana was the goofiest and funniest. That clip's great. You can date the clip within a year based on the kid's haircut and tube sox (I'm saying 1978). I, of course, had the exact same haircut and tube sox, and I imagine the kid is exactly my age.

As I recall, Mike basically produced two 'seasons' of 'Haunted Indiana' in early BCAT days. I couldn't tell you how many episodes there were, but sure I remember seeing them. Michael White should be on this site too, for sure. He and his brother were major local-original-music dudes in the pre-punk folkie days, playing as the White Brothers, originally enough. Noah Lucas' dad Bob would have a few tales on tap regarding that era as well.

Hell yeah,
This is old school BCAT at it's best. Michael White had a major hand in it for sure.
There were 3 or 4 vignettes that they played the hell out of (by request he he) along with
'The History of De-Evolution'.

Side note: the lead child actor is John Montgomery who went to BHSN.

This does seem vaguely familiar to me...and that narrator's voice is definitely familiar, can't remember specifically from where though.

Does anyone on MFT actually remember seeing this on Bloomington television? Just curious.

I love procrastinating with this kind of stuff. Here is a start, no order or top 10, but what I would place in the top 100 or so: Boris, "Pink" and "Smile" and "Amplfier Worship" School of Seven Bells, "Alpinisms" Keren Ann, "Keren Ann" and "la Disp…
