Lesley, it's lovely to discover you again! My kids are old fogies now -- like 20 and 25. Six and 7 year olds are hilarious and brilliant; you must be dancing around in a wild world these days.
Divorce sucks but it also opens amazing doors of perception. (Uh oh, the rainbows here are effecting my cynicism : )). Best advice anyone ever gave me was to keep the kids out of the adult line of fire. That was really good advice for me.
Here's an email for you: haolewolf@gmail.com . I'd really like to send you the songs I wrote and recorded. I'm happy to tell you as much about my life as you'd like to hear -- I have a peaceful, crazy, fun exhausting, warm, shark-infested, rainbowy world here on the Big Island.
I didn't see yer face in a Facebook search -- ask to be my friend. Pretty please?!
My fave Charles Nelson Reilly story: a friend of mine ended up spending a weekend in Houston, stranded by a bad airplane situation. For the entire weekend, CNR was also stranded and he spent the entire time drinking heavily at the hotel bar and trying to convince the waitress to, well, you know. Apparently a nice enough guy but boredom and booze turned him into a nightmare for the staff. I love that story.
Did you get to see Spud? Hope all is well with you. Still trying to wrap my mind around falling back into contact with people who I've had to carry with me in my head the whole time. Welcome back to reality and out of my head. Whew.
Sweetie! It's sad that we lost touch, but you'll always be near to my heart. My gal and I will be in B'ton over the 4th, passing by way of Indy, so perhaps we could hook up somehow somewhere?
This MFT stuff is making me a horribly nostalgic bastard in a almost visceral manner...you know what I'm talking about. We've been there together.
oh Lesley! i can only say what i Always have to say to people-- I can't get alex to do Anything, but he has no doubt got your negatives somewhere. i Will tell him to surrender them!- as for me, I love being free- I think I accidently got my groove back. I look forward to hanging out with you virtually and I hope in real life, being a mom, do you like it? I am glad to have mellowed and united my crazy party girl side and my crazy protective mommy side into one Perfect being, as i am now--:) ha!
Hey Lesley - Thanks for your nice note. Your picture is very glamorous, no surprise!! Karen is moving her wallpaper biz to NYC next month, and I'm working on my inner artist - writing and recording songs. What are you up to?
Yeah, my daughter is 12. You're not old to have a 5 year old. Yes, I do work, in the architectural/design industry. I'm lucky to have worked from home for years now. It's hard work and requires a lot of self discipline but has been convenient in raising my lovely daughter.
hi leslie,
i periodically hear little bits about your life from michael lane. it's pretty cool to see so many old faces on here. can't wait to dig out old party and show pics to put up but it'll probably be till awhile after i move. ciao.
What's up? I'm in Indianapolis too been here since
What's up? I'm in Indianapolis too. Kirk told me that you and Shelley live here. Surprised we haven't run into each other. I'm on the north east side around Cathedral. What about you?
Andy, yeah, I know what you're saying...the Lemonheads then instantly faded into multi-platinum obscurity. That's such a great perspective when most people have no idea the band even existed pre-1992.
If anyone bothering to read this hasn't heard t…
I'm not crazy about Michael Jackson or modern-day indie rock, but I will sing the SHIT out of some prime Manilow.
Burd, you nailed me.
I write the songs that make the whole wooooorld siiiing....
ahhhh Bullet Lavolta, their 1st 12" almost bordered on being the new Jerry`s Kids !!! Then they hit the UK with the Lemonheads & they both fell away.....those were the days lol
What gets me is people forget that punk/hardcore was NOT a private party…

Ben Blackburn current efforts for finding a band have been fruitless
Burd, I would never accuse you of being shy about speaking your mind. And I doubt anyone would have thought me anything but a raging snob from way back. And with the anti-Manilow snobbery of the post below, we continue to have plenty in common. FTR:…
John, it didn't seem like good natured to me when I went back and looked. It reeked of pretentious snobbery. Haughtiness. The funny thing is; I'd probably step up and say something if someone was doing it to you. Incidently, there are all sorts of t…
