Musical Family Tree gets a Logo re-design!
We're asking the community to help us pick the new logo...
There are typically only a handful of comments I hear from my friends and acquaintances when I explain to them my new role at MFT, and one of the most frequent responses is "You guys need a new logo." Not that there's a problem with the old logo or the way the site looks, but even most of us that have enjoyed MFT for years are willing to admit that a few things around here could benefit from an update.
Jeb and I recently got in touch with local graphic designer Aaron Scamihorn, who has done work for the Naptown Roller Girls, Queens of the Stoneage, and Cake, to name a few. Aaron's design work is always top-notch and pleasing to the eye. Check out some samples and learn more about what he does at his website.
After a couple of brief conversations, Mr. Scamihorn sent us several stunning ideas for a new logo for MFT. Jeb and I definitely have a few favorites, but we ultimately thought it would be best to open this topic up for discussion with the MFT community. With Aaron's permission, we have presented the following samples in order to get some general opinion or consensus before making a final decision.
So please, take some time to look over these designs and give us some feedback, because there's a good chance that you will be seeing a lot more of whichever one gets picked (or "ones" - we're not opposed to using more than one design, combining elements of different ones, or even going back to the drawing board if necessary). Share your thoughts in the comments section, or send me an e-mail to email@example.com if you'd prefer to keep your feedback private.
Thanks for your consideration and feedback!
