Hey guys sorry I am late this week. Work has been kinda crazy and I haven't gotten around to reviewing the batch of tracks that I received from the drummer of Abner Trio, Karl Hofstetter . These tracks are the unmastered versions of the songs that will be included on their next LP entitled "The Giant Crushes You". And I have to say, they sound really good for just being unmastered.
I was introduced to the Abner Trio when I was a an…

These guys are good friends of mine. And they rock the house and had the best music release in my opinion of all of last year. I cant tell you how many times I have drove to see them live, or how many times their only release has been played on my ipod, a burned CD in my car and the 12" on my record player. Despite all my praise of them they are surprisingly humble about the whole thing. They are really just friends who like playing together.…

The musical arrangements are really good. They remind me of Wilco and other Americana indie rock type bands. If you are a fan of this genre you should definitely check them…

I received Heavy Hometown's new CD entitled "Action Figures" from Jeb today. He told me. "New Band of the Week.... Give it a listen." So I took the CD and popped it into my computer for a listen.
"Action Figures" starts off with a melancholic track called "We Ate The Bug." The song is pretty slow and the vocals are pretty empathetic in tone. But about 50 seconds before the song starts to close the beat picks up and ends on a high note. Its an odd way to…

Hey everyone out there...I just heard the news about Sean West, he was my best friend in Highschool. It breaks my heart, I would love to connect with bob pribble, Bill levin or jeff Kendall. Will someone please write me back, I am sherri Hagadone's brother. I live in Malibu now, I went back a few years ago and no one could tell me where he was, I was having dreams about him, and then Googled his name, and that is how I found out the new. Bumming it.
If any one remembers me.…
