I believe that I played in a late version of the Panics at that show. We put up a banner that said, "We Used to be Good." (Or would that have been the previous summer?) Perhaps JB or MW would remember. I also have a memory of Jane Guskin coming to...

Wow, I even forgot I had a band named Blue Obscure. I will check the photos. We later became The Subjects - not much better as far as names go. Possibly worse.
I am now indeed a family man with a wife and 2 kids - Rina age 4 and Alexander age 3 months.
I'm a college professor in Geography and Environmental Studies at Cal State University Fullerton. I live at the tip of the LA county/Orange county border, otherwise known as the Orange curtain.
I still play music with my band Ryukyu Underground.
So what are you doing in B-ton?

Dood.... Thanks for enriching my life with your grand pictures. ( I am glad somebody captured those moments)
Greg Phillips is not on the site, but I will tell him about these photos. I am on the fence on going out, I am playing with Frankie the next night at Fester's. I told frankie last night about your shin-diggy and he wants to come down, but he lives in Indy and it is a extra trip and he is on the fence as well. I will try to come out, I don't have the Indianapolis excuse ...

About Me
I'VE MOVED TO BLOOMINGTON!! :D Recently, I moved from Colorado back to my hometown! It's good to be back.

Last year, I attended my first high school class reunion, the Bloomington High School South Class of 1982 25th Year Reunion and had such a great time seeing old friends and classmates, most of whom I had not seen since high school! I was happy to see them again and my classmates gave me a warm welcome back. I had such a fun time at my class reunion that I organized a small Class of '82 Holiday Party at Nick's last December at Nick's and a Summer Party for my South high school class at The Irish Lion and Crazy Horse during my July 2008 visit to Bloomington.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message or a comment. Thanks for tuning in. Craig
What bands are you or have you been in?
Lurking Fear, 1980s indie horror punk/death rock/garage rock band based in Columbia, Missouri.

Craig Dalrymple: Vocals

Dan Ross: Guitar, Vocals

Tim Aynardi: Drums, Bass

We created a monster named Lurking Fear. The strange, terrifying tales of horror author H.P. Lovecraft inspired the name of our band and some of our best songs. Although much of our mad, monster music can be described as horror punk rock, Lurking Fear was also a weird witch's brew of horror punk, death rock, hardcore, garage band rock, psychedelic, folk rock, metal, spoken work/experimental.
Less than two years later, Lurking Fear recorded a studio tape with our original songs about horror, monsters, and insanity, such as "Born In Fear," "Werewolf," "Swamp Thing," "Something In The Basement," "Hanging Out With the Dead," "Dirge," and "Innsmouth Bay/Edge of Identity."

Our musical influences included the Cramps, the Gun Club, the Misfits, the Ramones, Black Flag, Joy Division, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Dead Kennedys, the Clash, the Sex Pistols, Suicidal Tendencies, the Doors, the Velvet Underground, the Stooges, the Dead Boys, Lords of the New Church, Patti Smith, Sixties psychedelic garage rock (ie the 13th Floor Elevators, "Wild Thing" by the Troggs & "Psycho" by the Sonics), Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Johnny Cash, and Sonic Youth.

Dan Ross, who wrote most of our song lyrics, had written some new songs he wanted to record with our older songs for a studio tape right before I moved to San Francisco. Since I was focused on getting ready for my big move to California, Dan sang vocals on the new songs, such as "Owl Creek Bridge" and I did the vocals on the older tunes, including two songs that I wrote new lyrics for, "Werewolf" and "Dirge." Due to the magic of the recording studio and the skills of our producer, Ed Herrman, we had our best sound quality ever and were able to "clone" Tim so that he and his "clone" played drums and bass ---- suddenly Lurking Fear had the perfect rhythm section!

Lurking Fear released the studio tape on cassette and 11 years later, Dan surprised me by giving me as a birthday gift a brand new Lurking Fear CD, Songs In The Key of Lovecraft, which he had made from our old studio master tape. Our crazy songs sounded better than ever on the CD! I was blown away.

Last year, Tim tracked me down, found me, and asked me to create a myspace page for Lurking Fear. I agreed to create and maintain The official Lurking Fear myspace profile, which features several Lurking Fear songs with our lyrics, photos, art, band information, and more spooky, scary weirdness.

Dan had already created a Lurking Fear website, so that helped inspire me to create Lurking Fear profiles on myspace and zombiefriends. You can check out Lurking Fear online at:
