Greetings from Rainy Charlotte, NC

First, thanks for creating this site and letting everyone join. Even those of us who moved far away but grew up in the Indy Music Scene.

I knew LP peripherally. He was great friends with a lot of my friends and he was a funny, sweet (if not a bit odd) guy. I'm heartbroken for his son and wife (gf?). My kid gets lots of hugs and kisses, he probably feels smothered right now.

Anyhoo, I moved to Charlotte, NC nearly 4 years ago. Born in Muncie, lived in Indy for 36 years (okay, I did live in Carm… Continue

Ginger and Horacio are both great people! I have a friend whose parents live in Carmel. Didn't get to Indianapolis much in my Bloomington days. Saw a few shows (Black Flag at Mugsys, Violent Femmes somewhere on the South Side, the Cult and Ramones at some abandoned high school), but sadly by-passed in for Chicago most of the time.

Hello and nice to meet a fellow Charlottean via Indiana. I am from Monon originally (north of Lafayette and home to many many cows) while my spouse is from Bloomington. We like Charlotte, but miss the snow around this time of year.

Things are going well. Moved to DC in 93. Got married in 96. Had a son in 04. Moved back to Muncie in 05. My wife (Tania) works at the BSU Museum and I work for the video production dept at BSU. My son doesn't have a job...slacker!
I see Scott every once in a while. We are both living relatively normal lives...I suppose.

I remember going to some lame BSU party my first week as a freshman in Fall 1986. Ran into to weirdos with freaky hair wearing "Chuck Taylors". The male weirdo is now bald and so am I.

I doubt the dude in the western shirt is very happy about this photo, whereby it appears that the creature from Alien is about to tear through the flesh of his face. Or about being gently chin-caressed by Moz. Or about singing a duet with Chris Sw...

I read it the same way...I became confused by the positive prose that followed - I assumed what would follow was that the music totally sucked. Glad to hear this sort of thing is happening in B'ton.
