I don't know that it does. It sounds fine in the context of the band. I don't buy all the true-bypass hype and employ many buffered pedals. This was for the one take attempt. Plenty of overdubs with just the essential pieces.
I can honestly say that the Tonic Ball has changed my life. I watched enthralled the first year and have been part of the committee ever since then. Not only has it led to my writing about music, but to a perfect-for-me job at Second Helpings.
