Being that our 40 Watts existed for about 6 months, played about 5 shows, and didn't release any records, I feel pretty comfortable about relinquishing any claim to the name.

I'm very fearful of what all those years of Orange Julius has done to my DNA.

It still makes for an interesting read, despite some of the writer's comments. LS was like "Main Street" for me and my friends up until we were about 16 and finally discovered Broad Ripple. In the early 90's I was living out on the eastside, and ...

"Blacks continued to shop at the mall, leading to all kinds of theft and robbery problems" I was at LS a week-and-a-half ago, and believe it or not, not one of the "blacks" tried to rob me.

Our man in D.C...

Actually Bloomington, NY, SF, Rome, or where ever else they can afford 6 figures for a couple of hours of music... Here's our homeboy Josh Bell playing in the L'enfant Plaza Metro station a while back. You've probably heard about this, the story is reaching legendary status, but it's the first time that I've seen the videos. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html

I got an A+!

My final project for my Sound Design class. The video is flawed, but I'm pretty happy with the audio. I composed the main theme and the piece under the "transformation" sequence, but the "love theme" is Phillip Glass. We were supplied with video from different films and were supposed to edit them together into a fairly coherent narrative with music and sound effects. Now...Somebody give me a job!

Teenage EMO Freakout!!!

Check out that Tanner Boyle song, it's from the first record that I worked on that actually got released. The Kooch and I recorded it when we were interning at September Recording in one of those mammoth all weekend recording sessions. It's completely sloppy and out of tune, but were you making records this good when you were a teenager? I played with these guys for a while later on. I wasn't really into this style of music, but their spirit was really infectious. The first time I played in DC w… Continue

Cool Cliff May article

From the Chronicle. I love Mid-Century ranch houses, it's probably from growing up in Eagledale/Speedway. My Dad has a killer little brick rancher out on the westside that he's always complaining about. If that thing was in LA (if you could have a brick house in LA) it would be some movie star's million dollar bachelor pad, but in Indy they're a dime a dozen. Whenever I come home I fantasize about how great all of our Modernica Eames/Nelson knock-offs would look in there.

Jeff--thanks for the heads up on the Dead Malls site. One should read it with a grain (or two) of salt, apparently...!

I avoid Decatur, Franklin and Wayne townships at all costs, stay away from the corners and on the main stem. Maybe you should 'Get A Garmin'?
