Let's see how this summer shakes out. I'd be all for digging out my GCT cassette and seein' what the credits were... then put together something from the available materials floating around. Who knows: maybe it'll end up being a "copy for everyone who worked on it" kind of thing...

Todd - you and Smith and Smith should repackage your "remastered" versions of "Happy Dream" as a CD... even if you only burn a handful of copies. I was listening again on my iTunes - these songs hold up! Happy Spring 2009 - Mike "Suade" Newell

I'd love to get a copy of GCT's stuff as well. That's the one cassette that got lost somewhere along the way. Would love to hear it again.

On that note...any recommendations on a good way to transfer old cassettes to mp3? I'm sure I can find something to do a quick & dirty transfer, but I bet the quality isn't so great. I'm pretty sure I still have tapes of Atomic Clock, Mrs. Magrooder, the Bedspins Reality vs. This...and I think there's a compilation tape as well.

QL's is still there!
I didn't "protect" the GCT masters and both the tracking tape and the mix'd 2-tracks ended up getting held by the owner of West Bank Sound then he sold the business and I'm assuming they got trashed with everything else. Sorry to say that. But 20 years ago I didn't have 'safe storage' and... well...

Great to see you here. If you can: send me via email the mp3s and I'll drop them into my iTunes!!! I have my cassette in safe storage but would love to hear them in the digital age...

Good to hear from you. You need to be playing—you are too good not to...Mike & I were talking about our favorite players we've been in bands with & your name came up...Definitely send me the mp3s & Pat's email ... love to catch up with him. I am mixing 4 more Veipa Cray songs so we'll have some new stuff soon...we record in my basement & I am very happy with the quality we are getting. Keep in touch & happy holidays to you & your family. Wow—your daughter just graduated HS—mine son is 6months old...

PS - i am going to get that stuff digitized... I just need to "make the time" - I'm closing on a house in a few days so it's a lower priority at this moment... -Mike "Suade" Newell

Girls Can Touch... I can still play drums (but not as good as you used to)... I stil use your advice: "Relax Mike... you'll play (drums) longer..."

I would gladly bury the hachet, I know Finn feels the same way. We've both tried unsuccessfully.

Hey John! Saw Elvis most recently May 16, 2008, with the Police in Orlando. In the $200+ ticket section people were so rude. I was standing thu Elvis, and people were bitching. They wanted to see the Police. Also caught him a few times at House of...

I also transferred the one practice recording I have of Bloodcouch recently. It's a bit strange because the battery in the PZM mic we were using to record it was dying during the recording. Lon Paul would probably have been in possession of the vi...
