Lived in Bloomington from 1974-1984 then Indianapolis from 1984-1994 then back to Bloomington 1994-2000. Booked shows in both places from 1989 to 2002. Venues included (in no particular order) various VFW halls, Lions Club, Broad Ripple Community Center, The Sitcom, The Sitcom Collective, Rhinos, Waldron Arts Center, Second Story, and lots of basements/parks/skateshops/bedrooms/coffee shops/warehouses/record stores.
Since leaving the midwest I have travelled a bunch, fell in love once, gotten married, lived about 2 miles from downtown Atlanta, lived in a cabin in the mountains of North Carolina, and currently making home in one of the most beautiful cities; Asheville North Carolina; awaiting my first baby and the next adventure in life....
I still enjoy music and going to shows. Also enjoy redoing old houses, graphic design, hiking, mountain biking, running, cooking, gardening, and plotting a way to have a five day weekend.
What bands are you or have you been in?
Some really bad ones.
What city are you from?
Bloomington and Indianapolis (I claim both as home)

I was going to post a new thread for the Sitcom under "forums" - "list of venues" but thought it might be better if someone like you did it, since there were like 3-4 locations and I don't know the history so well. could you do that sometime? So many great bands came through there, in all its locations.
There were three of you that hung out together; you, curtis, and I forget the third. Curt sent me an email last year sometime from L.A. He seemed to be doing well.
I'm glad you got in touch and I'm glad you had a positive memory. I tried my best to steer the kids in a positive direction.
Hella is rad live and that LP we put out is amazing. We have had a lot of good luck with our releases. I love doing it. We just had our ten year anniversary last year. Good stuff.
Pretty good here. Married and living in the Louisville area. I own a business in Indy, so I'm up here a lot. It has been a long time for sure. I do talk with Keith sometimes. He's supposedly moving back to Indy from Colorado soon.
Steve: I was wondering if you'd show up here. I thought of you when we were talking about the Sitcom in one of these threads. Glad you're well. Once Again! Wasn't that your band?
Hi Steve!
Good to see you on MFT. Congratulations on your impending baby! I have an 18-month old, a girl named Marin. Take tons of photos because, like everyone told me too, they grow so incredibly fast. I'm really happy for you. Happy baby times!

Andy, yeah, I know what you're saying...the Lemonheads then instantly faded into multi-platinum obscurity. That's such a great perspective when most people have no idea the band even existed pre-1992.
If anyone bothering to read this hasn't heard t…
I'm not crazy about Michael Jackson or modern-day indie rock, but I will sing the SHIT out of some prime Manilow.
Burd, you nailed me.
I write the songs that make the whole wooooorld siiiing....
ahhhh Bullet Lavolta, their 1st 12" almost bordered on being the new Jerry`s Kids !!! Then they hit the UK with the Lemonheads & they both fell away.....those were the days lol
What gets me is people forget that punk/hardcore was NOT a private party…

Ben Blackburn current efforts for finding a band have been fruitless
Burd, I would never accuse you of being shy about speaking your mind. And I doubt anyone would have thought me anything but a raging snob from way back. And with the anti-Manilow snobbery of the post below, we continue to have plenty in common. FTR:…
John, it didn't seem like good natured to me when I went back and looked. It reeked of pretentious snobbery. Haughtiness. The funny thing is; I'd probably step up and say something if someone was doing it to you. Incidently, there are all sorts of t…
