We played FACES several times. There was a house band there, called House Band. The building was destroyed at some point, but the inside wall (connecting to the next building) can still be seen and was featured in one of The Ataris videos. Crankpi...

Cool, Jeb. This is wonderful news. I know you've been working on this for a long time. Some pages had their songs deleted in the last server crash (such as Crankpin). Would it make more sense to start over with a new page in that case, or wait for...

Jailed Cuban Punk Rocker to Stand Trial

Interesting how so many US punks and musicians (at least that I know) hold the Cuban system, Che, and Castro in high esteem. I guess they don't feel the same in Cuba. I'm glad we live in a place, imperfect as it may be at times, where we can sing about whatever we want, write whatever we want and participate in forums like MFT without being dragged away by the police.

Rock and Roll Addiction - Dan McDermott/Jersey Beat

Dan Mcdermott writes for Jersey Beat magazine, which has been a New Jersey music institution forever. This column is about growing up in our town of Hillsborough, NJ and all the rockers it spawned. He mentions two of my bands, Flinch and Nuclear Pizza. Check out his other stuff at JerseyBeat.com.

My collection of Halloween songs is so extensive that I'm actually kind of embarrassed to talk about it. It's like having all the Star Wars action figures or something.

The show at Ricky's was just after The Crew came out, IIRC. I had this insane hairstyle - half of my head was shaved, the other half dredded out, and on the shaved head side ONLY I had this hideous mountain-man beard. For some reason this really impressed the guys in the band, and when the next record (Walk Together, Rock Together, I think) came out, one of them had a half-skin, half-77 spikey do!

I think Kevin may have used that pic on a record, too. It was a great show.

Hey Sean, dunno if your tossed off 7 Seconds reference in the sellout thread means you are a big devotee, but I thought you might be interested in this action shot from Ricky's in Bloomington, late summer 1984.

I doubt the dude in the western shirt is very happy about this photo, whereby it appears that the creature from Alien is about to tear through the flesh of his face. Or about being gently chin-caressed by Moz. Or about singing a duet with Chris Sw...

I read it the same way...I became confused by the positive prose that followed - I assumed what would follow was that the music totally sucked. Glad to hear this sort of thing is happening in B'ton.
