Patrick - Santa Barbara - wow, small world. Happy New Year. I remember those Chicago winters... One time it was so cold the clutch snapped in my car! I'm enjoying the 70 degree Socal winters... Hope all's well with you.
I'm an elementary schoolteacher now, in my fifteenth year. I'm teaching Kindergarten, which I love. The politics and worrying about enough money to do our job properly can often drive the best of us to the bottle or out of the profession entirely, but I'm being proactive instead as a teacher-representative and officer in our local union. Certainly keeps me busy and gives me a sense of control! Do you ever hear from the Ambroses any more?
Nice profile pic! (no... seriously... nice). Speaking of pics: do you have a picture of GCT with all three of you (and not the one blowing bubbles from the j-card of the cassette).
Hey, Pat! How's things? Good to see you're still doing music. I stopped playing bass [quit clapping, cabron!] about 2 years after college, and my wife sold it about 10 years ago. I started taking piano a couple of years ago with my youngest daughter, and now I want a bass again, now that I understand better how and why certain bass runs were done....
I have played guitar and sang with a number or bands since high school.
What bands are you or have you been in?
The VanGogh Gos: With Todd Keaffaber (drums) and Chanelle Ambrose (bass)
Girls Can Touch: With Robert Smith (bass) and Todd Keaffaber (drums)
The Hedonists: Hardcore band in Chicago with Garrison White (Things That Fall Down) on bass, Springa (SS Decontrol a.k.a. SSD) on vocals, Mike "gusto" Meadows on drums.
Los Invaderados: Rock-a-billy band with Garrison White, Jay Mosher and his brother Mark Mosher (drummer from the Chicago band Green). This was definitely the best/most fun band ever.
Drag: With Howie Beno, Grammy Award winning artist from Ministry....which I was promptly kicked out of before playing a show (I really wasn't into it and didn't practice...)
in the case of the zero boys, the 2005 show has been up on mft since...2005, and one of the zero boys made it known to me that the 2008 show better not ever show up on the internet (mild threat implied). it was recorded for the family of lonpaul.
Find out if you can post the Zero Boys shows!

I'm down to a DOD Flashback Fuzz, a Rat, a Maxon overdrive (generic Tube Screamer, used for a clean boost) a Boss 6 band footswitch EQ, and a Morley volume pedal. I sure would like to have a Memory Man.
