The craptastic original drummer for many a short-lived Indianapolis & Muncie band, I was the music director at WAJC's Night Music and producer of the TV concert series Dog Shark Lagoon.
Now... I'm old. I enjoy telling the kids to get off my yard and turn down their music. Why, in my day we had REAL bands! Bands like Modern Vending and the Zero Boys and JOT and Bitch Head. Freaks of Nature! Now there was a band! Kids today...
What bands are you or have you been in?
Pizzle, Lunkheads, Fabulous Andersons, Kung Fu Zombies, Bachman Turner Overdrive
No worries; last name is not Martin and it has been MANY years.
I'm surprised a lot of this is coming back to mind for me, considering I haven't been back since I graduated ('93 on the 5-year plan), and haven't been/don't keep in touch with anybody from back in the day. I was actually directed to the site by Tom Shover (Steve Kowalski's Army) who I am in contact with/have played with here in Chicago.
In any case, yeah, FHM was after KFZ. Up until that time, I hung around Matt/FON a decent amount (became their roadie in a sense, because I had a van). Because of that, I became friends with Chris Barton, Phil, all the girls at the House of Raging Women (Laura, Shelby, etc. I eventually moved in there one summer with my then girlfriend Kriss Luckett), etc.
OK, look, I finally visited your MySpace page, and thank GAWD there's finally someone on MFT besides me who loves SeaLab 2021. Or has heard of it. Grizzlebee's, yo.
Good to see you here. So what is a Kendle 7" going for these days?
I was digging through my VHS tapes the other day and pulled out a copy of the Dog Shark Cafe with Vending on it. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Kind of scared cause I know there is some interview segment. I think it may have Bitchhead on it too.
You and I -- and maybe Phil -- are about the only people in the universe who want to see those flyers; but I bow to The Will of Murph. I'll try to scan them in tonite.
Boobies? I don't doubt it. I was working on my proto-feminist street cred. As in "None of us/really knows how to fight/except Celeste."

Marvin P. Goldstein Where are the blogathons and heated debates nowadays here at MFT?
This show was GREAT. I kept thinking how wonderful it will be to invite PGT back to the Hoosier State for a show - perhaps in an all ages venue - where some of the young music fans and musicians can experience electronic music arising from a very ...

I doubt the dude in the western shirt is very happy about this photo, whereby it appears that the creature from Alien is about to tear through the flesh of his face. Or about being gently chin-caressed by Moz. Or about singing a duet with Chris Sw...
I read it the same way...I became confused by the positive prose that followed - I assumed what would follow was that the music totally sucked. Glad to hear this sort of thing is happening in B'ton.

mart=first part of last name
If that's not enough to ring a bell, somewhere around late '89, along with Matt Hart, we absconded with Phil Barcio and formed Fire Hydrant, Man.
How's the baby situation out your way?
