About Me
I'm the editor of the Independent Weekly, an alternative newspaper in Durham, N.C. I live here w. my husband, Dennis Scoville, who played pedal steel and fiddle in several bands back in the day, and our five cats.
We left Bloomington on the first day of spring 2001 and lived (or shall I say "did time") in San Antonio, Texas until August 2006.
What bands are you or have you been in?
Managed a bunch of bands in the '80s and '90s, including Arson Garden and the Rosebloods. I volunteered at WIUS, WQAX and WFHB, plus various record stores: Karma, Roscoe's, CD Exchange. Put on shows at various venues.
What city are you from?
Bloomington most of my life. Born in Mechanicsburg, Indiana. Also known as Quantam Mechanicsburg.

Well Mr. JVM has been telling me how much he loves Middletown and he just doesn't understand why I am damned near contemptuous. I met some cool people there. But I don't feel the love like Mr. Minnick. Even though I did meet him there.

How do you know Eugenia? I only know of her because I worked with her brother Ed and then I told him to tell her about this place and then I saw she was talking to you and then I mentioned you to JVM.

This place is very interesting.

Very funny! Your wit has not diminished any more than your memory. Would love to know what you did with yourself after high school. I'm deducing from your bio that you took the route I would have expected -- doing your own thing and as nonconformist as you always were. I sometimes wonder how any of us got out of that isolated corner of the world with our sanity intact. Yes, Myra Schull -- the poor thing. We deviled her literally to tears. I had kind of forgotten about the Frankenmuth thing. How's Matt?

Ding-Ding! You must have had to flip through a yearbook to figure that out, unless Kim Bennett gave it away. She discovered you on here, told me, and I was so delerious with nostalgia that I joined the site just so I could send a message to you. She and I decided to converge on you with a simultaneous barrage of messages.

You've been treated well because you deserve it-- we miss your writing here in Bloomington...music writing is, well, there's not enough in print any more! And no such thing as a review any more...but this is a fun place to meet and read up on all kinds of things so it is a pleasure to see you here, kind of "back home in Indiana" in way!

You play the pen, which is mightier than the sword or any guitar wall on record.

Hope all is swell with you.

I would gladly bury the hachet, I know Finn feels the same way. We've both tried unsuccessfully.
