Steve's right -- you do look exactly the same, Brent. Good to see you here, although I spend more time on that other time waster (FB) these days. And I still enjoy wasting time as much as I did back in Munchie.
Friend and fan of the mid-80s Muncie bands ... lived in the Modern Vending House during my fourth year at BSU ... brought together Modern Vending, the Singles, etc. with my friends in the Cincinnati bands from that era (Thangs, Doc & the Pods, Wolvertons, etc.) ... Now a writer in DC ... Still wear vintage ... Still love 60s make-up and 50s decor ... Still have a bunch of photos of all of you from back in the day!!
What bands are you or have you been in?
Well, I'm not in a band, but I'm in a tribal belly dance troupe called Raqs Caravan West. (Yeah, I caught the Middle Eastern music bug while living in Jordan after graduation.) You can see pictures of us at www.saharadance.com. And that IS a sword on my head.
What city are you from?
WDC/the 'Nati

Hey: Loved your holiday card. I feel exactly yhe same way. I read today that Obama stopped by Ben's Chili Bowl yesterday. Apparently, Bill Cosby is no longer the only one who eats free.
You're too kind! The fact that I could recognize you from 30 ft across the ballroom is a testimony to your ageless (in every meaning of the word) style.
Tigerlillies would be great --Not only won't there be any smoke at the Northside Tavern, but I will bet my best ankle-strap platforms that there won't be anyone dressed as a Nazi. Charles nearly lost his shit. Having to restrain my husband from breaking his fist on some idiot's face wasn't exactly how I wanted to end that evening. *sigh*
Too bad you're a vegetarian, or we could go to Camp Washington Chili after Northside. Tho' given the vegan revolution in Cinci in recent years, they might actually have something on the menu now. I'll investigate.
I wish I'd seen you too! It was crazy, so many people...!!! I was out with a few people in Cinti last night who are planning to come to DC for the inauguration....:)
Oh! and I steered Bill and Stacy to that charicature of him you have posted above--she claims she had it with her in Atlanta, and he didn't remember it at all...they both were pretty amazed to see it!
Hi Linda! Yes, I was there. I actually flew back to mpls this morning, and went straight to work--haven't been home yet.
I couldn't speak at all on Sunday--my voice was completely gone from screaming and shouting (and a little weeping) on saturday. It was pretty amazing--Bill W, Stacy A and I spent all day Sunday reading the book and of course thinking of more things that should've been in there...
Thanks so much for all your work!!!!!!!!!
