Okay, update:
Fresh & Onlys and Oh Sees played here last night and Fresh & Onlys were totally mind blowingly good. Like transcendent.
It nice to have my faith renewed in contemporary rock bands every once in a while, especiall… Continue

The Repellents

Anderson Indiana’s Repellents came together in November of 1981 after a particularly fun and inspiring night out at Crazy Al’s, a restaurant and bar in the Broadripple section of Indianapolis, Indiana. The show featured Dayton, Ohio’s Toxic Reasons and Indy’s own Zero… Continue

Reviewed, it seemed
As if someone were watching over it
Before it was
As if response were based on fact

Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there

Renewed, it fought
As if it had a cause to live for
Denied, it learned
As if it had sooner been destroyed

Providing, deciding, it was soon there
Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there

Reviewed, it fought
As if someone were watching over it
Before it had sooner been denied
Renewed, it seemed
As if it had a cause to live for
Destroyed, it was later based on fact

Who is Jesse? Also, this is a strange and funny compilation. What is the theme? Is it just bands that you (Dave) like and that have an Indiana connection?

Hey Kurt
Yeah Jesse was the singer for Outspoken. Everyone on this compilation was connected with the now defunct Musical Family Nuts. Most of the material came from members of the website. Four of the artists that perform on it are now in Heaven: Lon Paul (Marmoset)Terry Hollywood( Howe ) on guitars, Merle Griggs( Bitch Head) and Jesse Mandulay(Outspoken). The tribute to Jesse is by the California Killers/ ex Outspoken members. Terry and Lumpy are the guitarists for The Ripped Vorpals.
The bass player for Outspoken and Nowheregoodfast, two bands from this compilation, Chris Pelley , is a good friend and also used to be married to my wife's best freind. They lived in Pendleton for awhile..but are now divorced.
While I was putting this together, Shane Cree( Speedball Rebel, Kromejob,Starpiss) and Jon Scott Sheets (Punkin Holler Boys) sent me material. Strange and funny indeed..just the way I like it. Red Snertz was strange and funny also..was it not? Dirty little secrets is Julie's band. Ghost faced cow is Wendy Darst's band. Bullet LaVolta and the Konks are your bands. I think Punkmobile by the Walking Ruins is punk rock genius.. Johnny Quest and Paul Mayhern are of course in Dandelion Abortions. The X-Spurtz take their rightful place amongst these luminaries. What is not to like my friend? These songs rock. Open up your fuckin' ears man!! LOL..also send me your address for your free copy
Your friend,
Dave Jr.

Dude, I am doing great myself. I just celebrated my 19th wedding anniversary and my 48th birthday within the last 2 months. My wife is awesome...she is a nurse and a house supervisor at a retirement community, working 3rd shift no less. She is also a published author of horror fiction books. I have 2 21 year old boys...my son and a step son, and a 13 year old daughter. I have a good job as a representative for a nutritional supplement company. I haven't played in any bands since 1990, but I do still play a lot, and spend time recording in my little home studio with the boys....let me know how to get I can contact you and I will call some time

good to hear from you!!!

Low Point: Going with members of Jot to set up a show(?) / talk to Bill Levin. I'll never forget it because of how wasted Bill seemed to be and he ended up whipping his penis out while we were talking. High Point: Seeing Cody Chesnutt play there.
