Hey, Jim! I had lunch with Neil Sharrow, his wife and Karen Kish yesterday, and Neil told me about Eric's QAX group. Never had occurred to me to Google WQAX before. Who knew the old gang would be gathering somewhere in cyberspace?
Yeah, I sojourned in C-U for five years to give my folks the logistic support they needed to stay in the home they had shared since 1943 as long as possible. Been back in my Maxwell Ln. domicile since 2003. Same phone as before, if you still have that in your records. You won't be surprised to learn I am now an antique dealer.
Occasionally have contact with Stike, but other than that have pretty much lost touch with QAXers. Good to reconnect.
Love the reunion photos. Organizing that was probably the best thing I have done in my life. It was a great weekend. By the time it was over I was ready to open a detective agency, I had gotten so good at tracking down missing persons. I know somewhere in the depths of my attic I have the group photo with everyone-- or nearly so-- identified. If and when it turns up I will post the complete list, but in the meantime I will add my two cents on the faces (easy) I can match with a name (trickier).
So, how ya doing?

i would love to see you. Kirk said something about coming down sometime around the 4th. I was suppose to be in Chicago this weekend but things didn't work out with my schedule as a mom or maybe poor planning on my part.

Jim, the lesson I learned in New Orleans, still to this day sticks with me; NEVER do whippets when you're driving. So, when you're free, when we cross paths, I'll buy if you fly.

Hello Jim!

How wonderful to hear from you---I've thought of you and Michael often; that weekend was so much fun! Your house was so lovely---and so comfortable! I still remember you had such a cozy guest room with a fluffy bed...fabulous!

Baby hasn't quite arrived yet...I'm in my 7th month...

Monroe County life is good; we've had a very pretty spring time with a fair share of dramatic weather and accompanying life experiences...all reminders of how temporary the good things can be---and how we have to savor them!

Keep me posted on what you're up to!! And let me know if you come to visit little ol' Bloomington!
xo,
Sophia

Andy, yeah, I know what you're saying...the Lemonheads then instantly faded into multi-platinum obscurity. That's such a great perspective when most people have no idea the band even existed pre-1992. If anyone bothering to read this hasn't heard t…

Burd, I would never accuse you of being shy about speaking your mind. And I doubt anyone would have thought me anything but a raging snob from way back. And with the anti-Manilow snobbery of the post below, we continue to have plenty in common. FTR:…

John, it didn't seem like good natured to me when I went back and looked. It reeked of pretentious snobbery. Haughtiness. The funny thing is; I'd probably step up and say something if someone was doing it to you. Incidently, there are all sorts of t…
