Moved back to B-town a couple of years ago after spending over 9 years in the SouthWest. Used to live in Bloomington throughout the eighties and early nineties and LOVED the music scene here! It's good to be back and see a site like this for old and new fans of the IN music scene, both past and present!
What bands are you or have you been in?
Right now I'm with John Terrill and the Melting Watch. He put this band together to promote the release of his solo CD "Frowny Fown" on July 23rd. I'm playing flute, harmonica, and doing both harmony and lead vocals, which I share with John. Phil Reavis, Emily Jackson, and John Dawson are the other members of the band.
Out in Durango, CO I was in an all-woman band called "The Chicklets" and we played in the 4 Corners region for about four years. I also did vocals, flute, & harmonica, as well as tinwhistles and a variety of percussion instruments. Our best gig by far was at a UFO Convention in Aztec New Mexico! Great (and strange) audience!!
In the late 80s I played in the Bloomington/Nashville area with Chris Little (singer-songwriter/folk) and helped with his first recording project with Grey Larson. By night I danced to the great bands at 2nd Story like The Rosebloods, Trailside Killers and Pit Bulls on Crack...my life was saved by Rock & Roll, just like the rest of you, but I like all kinds of music.
Back in the 70s I played with various bands in the Tipton/Kokomo area, but they never played out much and fizzled pretty quick....what can I say?
What city are you from?
Bloomington

No, I never wore a dress, at least not while singing (I think). I know "Spud" used to wear a kilt or something similar (Cultureshock?) We did play a few street dances though. John did some recording of us (Peace Dykes) andhehas some stuff somewhere. There is a pic or two of us playing by the old library that
" Andy ' the Brit ' " has up here. Check out his page maybe those pics will ring a bell. : )
I was wondering who was in Melting watch when I saw the event listing. There should be a group started: PEOPLE WHO HAVE PLAYED WITH TERRILL. Hope something gets uploaded from the shows. We'll see how that streaming thingy works for me. Good luck with the shows!
I keep track of what I listen to, so honestly most of what I give a play is more older music, but these are the ones from the last decade that I listened to the most.
