Got to IU in 83, was off Campus within 3 semesters, spent most of the rest of the decade obsessively recording in my cave of an apartment (mmm, I can smell it now). I had a few short lived bands and many youthful misadventures, and was befriended by some very good people. Lived in Chicago for years and years, recently relocated to NW Indiana to raise my family.
What bands are you or have you been in?
Mumblestrum, Bye the Bye, Three Kings, Pablo Diablo, Virginia's Scrapings, Kissed & Skeletons, Tone Ales (1 night, 2 songs), P.S. Dump Your Boyfriend for 4 minutes and 35 seconds. Lately have been playing bass with the formidable Joby Barnett on drums. Do you need a rhythm section?
Hey Gabe why is everyone that posts here a woman? Ah never mind. Anyway, Can you maybe get Bob D to look at his email every 4 months or so? I sent him some nice links to Bebop Deluxe videos, and no response.
Hey Gabe, Just a heads up that it looks like a real possibility that the Math Bats will be doing a reunion (who hasn't these days sometime around Memorial Day somewhere in Indy. Yahoo.
Yes! Michael Berg, this cute Scott Walker-ish looking guy sang it on acoustic. Anne Magnuson did such a brilliant version of NEXT. I felt like I was in the 80's all over again, but in the best possible way! Check out this story in New Music Express.
