A heck of a nice guy too. I was lucky to sit and talk to him about the old days in Memphis; Crown Electric, Elvis, and the infamous Burnette Bros. vs Perkins Bros fist fight. I got to sing Johnny B Goode with him and the band, it was by far the co...

Well, the one song I saw was great. I had to leave unexpectedly due to some "excitement".

What Instrument(s) Do You Play

About Me
I used to play in bands but I became exasperated with other flakey musicians and losing friends over creative differences. I would be lying if I said I didn't miss it. I used to DJ at the Melody Inn before it became a destination, lots of other places too. I still write songs and get together to pick with friends. I do a lot of self satisfying at home concerts for myself. These days I write and take pics for Greasy Kulture Magazine as my creative outlet. I also spend time with my two kids, family and friends. I am an avid record collector, guitar collector/tinkerer and reader of music history. My day job is not a cool one, but it pays the bills and lets me enjoy life. Isn't that what it is all really about? Some bands that have covered my songs include Ethyl and The Regulars (Denver), The Dixons (NYC), Scotty and The Stampeders (Regensburg, Bavaria, Germany) and The Wakefields (Seattle). I put out a CD in 2000 on ShakeIt! records. It can still be purchased on iTunes and cutout bins everywhere. Apparently we sold very well in Holland. I am convinced it is because everyone there smokes pot. Nonetheless, putting out a recording and having other people dig my songs definately has been the most satisfying part of playing music for me.
What bands are you or have you been in?
Spaceship Beelzebub, 3 On The Tree, Thom & Shellie & Eric, The 40 Watts, The Crown Hill Deacons, The Tip-Top Daddies, The Jive Rockets, The Roundups, The Mess Arounds. I have also been an occasional drummer for Mandy Marie, Mustard Wilson and Slick Andrews (also rhythm guitar).
What city are you from?
Naptown, currently Fountain Square
Original Hometown
Anderson/Mad County

Hey E,

Sorry about that, a certain person in my household suddenly went from being in a very good mood to being in a very bad mood (I'm sure that somewhere in your dealings with the opposite sex you've experienced this phenomenon). We should get together soon.

Jeff

Hi Eric. we're friends now. So... I want no cussing! No derogatory sarcasm! I demand absolute gentlemanly behavior! Words that end in ism can be avoided. The word tith or tithe, I dont know about that word. Have you heard the musical houses yet? Christmas music with lights that flash in time. And airplane food... I mean... what's with airplane food?

We're in the middle of this corn field, with no idea where we are, and she says to me, sarcastically, "So, are we still on the grid?".
