hello yourself...
I haven't check this site in a while...what is new with you??
Playing tommorrow in Chicago—Reggies Music Joint on the near South side—excited but nervous about turnout...harder to get people out here & many of my friends now have kids so...plus chicago has 100s of bands every night so there is stiff competition...you can hear some of our stuff at www.veipacray.com if you are interested...

P.S. I used to carry a torch for Desperately Happy but have fallen madly in love with Victor Hugo.

Hi April -- I wanted to thank you so much for the beautiful 1st day of school picture. We've set it as our monitor background and we can't help but smile when we see it. Your girls literally glow with excitement, all shiny and ready to go. And so many fun details -- Michael in his suit waiting by the car, your sweet garden, and my favorite, the rub-on tattoos!! I hope their day went well - I'm sure they had many lively stories to share with you when they got home.
Thanks again and please keep us on the photo list,
Leath

What a blast! A perfect night of music, old friends and new. The only fallout is my office-mate, Stephanie, making me listen to "Little Moon" 27 times today. She has already memorized the words and is walking around singing it. If you ever need an understudy... Myself, I've been stuck with "Impossible Space" rattling 'round my brain day and night.

FYI re: our discussion about song choices, I see you friendid Bjork on your MySpace. We've got Vokuro in our repertoire.

Hope it's not so long until next time.

Very Nice... Your voice was awesome ( as usual ) and the songs were aural fireworks everyone was dying to hear again. I wanted to get up there and kick a chair, bang on a beer bottle and shake the bag of potato chips.

Get down, April!!! Your songs are great! Your singing & performing is impassioned as always; as fun to watch as it is to hear. You (and James) have always been strong on stage, but your songwriting was a sweet surprise. And Michael's presence was complete value-add brain candy. Glad you both took a night off from familial bliss to grace the Bear's stage. Enjoy the rest of your tour and keep churning out those tunes. The CD will be available when????

I love procrastinating with this kind of stuff. Here is a start, no order or top 10, but what I would place in the top 100 or so: Boris, "Pink" and "Smile" and "Amplfier Worship" School of Seven Bells, "Alpinisms" Keren Ann, "Keren Ann" and "la Disp…
