A pretty good overview, although brief. I wonder what happened to Erika; I do remember that show, although I think the "disco dancing" went by the wayside in later years.
Good article by Hilton Als about MJ in, of all places, the New York Review of Books. Nicely written and not too long, and some of the better analysis I've seen.
After 1991, Jackson's focus was his career—which is work, too, but not the work he co...

Hey Anne!! It's so great to hear from you and see your photos. You look great! I checked out your flickr photos; wow, you really get around! So what are you up to lately? Are you a big time journalist now? Thanks for friending me, Tim
Anne: thanks for the articles! The Bloomington poetry scene piece is already posted in the David Wade photo album. (Yay!) I had forgotten how many people I'd talked to for that piece...
Hey Anne - these newclippings starting to pop up here are great evidence to the important role you - and other B'ton journalists - played in building recognition/awareness of alternative music & other bold creative acts. It's like covering women's athletics: there's always stuff going on, and sometimes even outrageously great stuff, but so few know about it, write about, etc. that it usually chugs along in obscurity. So three cheers for YOU! As one of only a few people who ever opted to write our edgier arts & artists, your contribution to B'ton's counterculture cannot, will not, be overlooked or underrated. You opened doors, expanded minds, & built audiences that Waffles et al warped into heavenly pretzels of twisted logic & salty esthetics. All praise Anne!!!!

I know you- I lived at 1203 South Fess in 1990 and then on Washington Ave- I wanna say '92 but the 1991 picture that you posted with the hair salon chair i swear was my room mate's. Hmm, so puzzling! But anyway, you look great- both past and present!
I will always appreciate the impact that Josh had on my musical development. He taught me a lot about music theory and arrangement that I wouldn't have learned otherwise I think. However he feels now, I'm sure he has his reasons. I'm just glad tha...
I’ve been to a lot of house shows over the last nine years that I’ve been in Bloomington. Sometimes these shows are incredible and fill me with hope for the future of local music in this town. Other times they make me wonder why I didn’t stay home...
