Hey JB, do you have that picture of you, eric and me in the field after the fire was put out? I wound up catching Mono that weekend and hallucinating without LSD for the next week or so.
I'm into puppets, metal work, design and production. I am currently the Crew Chief/Stage Manager/Tech Director for Events and Media Production at the Walker Art Center.
What bands are you or have you been in?
Rump Rangers (Hoe-Down Syndrome etc), LD-50, Disney Fixtures, Truckadelics (briefly), Sick City ... Some others I may be forgetting. I have only done one band since leaving Indiana, "Never Been To Memphis", a short lived colaboration with a bunch of fellow Minneapolis low-lifes - which was fun. Now there is so much great music coming out around the country that I prefer to enjoy it as a listener and occasionally from the circle pit. Did anybody see the Anti-Flag/Briggs/Street Dogs tour? Hellacious!
Oh, you're a member of the Brotherhood. Great. I only just started acting in '04. I like it a lot. I still play guitar every so often, with friends, but never actually joined a band or really played in public, except I've provided a little background music on a few Folding Chair plays.
Austin is great but way too crowded now. I am actually outside of Denton at this point...not doing anything too exciting...trying to figure out what's eating my pepper plants while keeping my kids from disemboweling each other.....well I guess it is exciting sometimes...I get to travel quite a bit which can be cool but way sucky too...gearing up for 8 weeks in Cairo....I'm glad you finally showed up dude!
Working at a college library, not getting an English degree. Writing. Marcus Geduld is here too, and he has a theatre company. I've done several plays with them. I'm lucky to have an in like that, because I don't actually have a Theatre degree either. You've been *very* musical, seems like. I'm looking forward to hearing some. I'm flying out to B'ton to see my sister and my nephew from 22 July to 1 August, but the rest of the summer I should be in NYC. Hope we can meet up!
Family life is cool-unusual-but cool! Who'da thought huh? Figured there would be some kinda law about me breeding-when they didn't come for me after the first I had another! Ha! That'll teach the Man! Now there's replicas of me running around!
Seriously though, being a parent is my next great adventure. Glad you found us here...I think your name came up in the "Where are they now/have you seen them?" blog in the 80's Bloomington section. Puppets huh? Sounds way cool-post some pictures!
