My tip- use Gmail

On the email notification problem: Probably going to be either a Ning mail relay problem, internal event notification issue or the mail is be blacklisted by your email provider or corporate backend server. Emails travel through many exchanges, but typically the messages are just passed along without a deep inspection on the public internet. If it’s a corporate mail system the messages are closely scrutinized and possibly quarantined before you even see it. This can also be true of an ISP system too. Some messages may go through, some may not, but typically you are a provided the option to make a judgment on the validity of the message and can flag the message as valid.
Not knowing what email system you're using you could use a public email system like Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc. or just some other email account to see if you get the notifications from Ning of some event that should trigger an email. The following link has topics related to Ning email notification.

Follow-up: I would also verify with the link/guideline below that your Ning email settings are providing you with the expected behavior. There’s certainly a possibility of a bug in the software, but you can do some quick sanity tests to narrow the problem down.

Hi Jeb - Can you add the functionality of having a music player applet within the context of a group. I want to showcase some instruments in the Music Gear group and I don’t want to reference anything outside of the group’s page. Thanks..Tim

I used to use the EQ for a clean boost, but the Maxon OD808 is the best clean boost I've used. I also used it as a treble boost to get that fried-out, denatured Telecaster sound, like on Captain Beefheart's Doc at the Radar Station. That was the s...

The Hotcake sounds brilliant with an AC30. I pretty much leave it on all the time.
