Event Description

Greetings Fellow House Concert Goers!!!

Already time for the fifth installment of our "Home Fields Advantage" 2008-2009 house concert season, folks! Sunday, January 11th at 6PM.

We have a treat this month! Switching gears a little bit, our musical guest will be Celtic Fiddle player:

Emily Ann Thompson with Dave Bagdade on guitar and mandolin!

Emily Ann Thompson’s Celtic fiddling is described as “organic, fresh, and full of passion.” She plays traditional Irish, Scottish, and Cape Breton tunes in highly energetic and innovative arrangements.

Emily has performed at many different venues and festivals including the Indy Irish Fest, Broad Ripple Art Fair, Music Mill, Indianapolis Arts Garden, Indianapolis City Market, Carmel International Arts Festival, Carmel Fest, Zionsville Concert Series, Linton Music Festival, Anderson International Festival, and with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra as a guest soloist. As a former member of the group Alair, she released an album with them in 2006.

Her main influences include Celtic fiddlers Natalie MacMaster, Eileen Ivers, and Winifred Horan, old-time fiddler Bruce Molsky, jazz violinist Stephane Grapelli, and fiddler Mark O’Conner. Drawing from many different musicians and different types of world music, she truly has created her own unique style of Celtic fiddling.

Accompanying Emily will be none other than Dave Bagdade, of The Cousin Brothers and Diamond Hill Station fame!

in the case of the zero boys, the 2005 show has been up on mft since...2005, and one of the zero boys made it known to me that the 2008 show better not ever show up on the internet (mild threat implied). it was recorded for the family of lonpaul.

That's amazing. A good $20-worth of 9V batteries in that chain.

I'm down to a DOD Flashback Fuzz, a Rat, a Maxon overdrive (generic Tube Screamer, used for a clean boost) a Boss 6 band footswitch EQ, and a Morley volume pedal. I sure would like to have a Memory Man.
